This $2.3M project included the design and construction of a new transmission main connecting the Grand Gorge water system to the Roxbury system and improvements to treatment facilities to address the corrosive nature of the source water.
The major components of the project include the following:
- 47,000 LF New 8″ HDPE Transmission Main from the Hamlet of Roxbury to the Hamlet of Grand Gorge
- Upgrade Existing Spring Treatment Building
- Upgrade Existing Well No 2 Treatment Building
- Construct New Well Source and Control Building
- Construct New Chlorine Booster Station and Pressure Reducing Valve Vault
- Replace Distribution System Valves and Hydrants
