This project involves the planning, design, and construction of a new water supply and distribution system to enhance service reliability and capacity. The system includes new wells, a well control building, metering infrastructure, distribution and transmission mains, and a 500,000-gallon water storage tank. The improvements are designed to meet current and future water demand, improve system resilience, and comply with applicable regulatory standards.
Scope of Work Includes:
- Water Supply Infrastructure
- Development of new groundwater wells
- Construction of a well control building housing pumping and control equipment
- Installation of water meters for usage monitoring and system management
- Water Storage
- Design and construction of a 500,000-gallon above-ground water storage tank
- Site grading, tank foundation, and access road improvements
- Distribution System
- Installation of approximately 35,000 linear feet (LF) of 8″ IPS HDPE DR 13.5 water main
- Installation of approximately 3,000 LF of 12″ IPS HDPE DR 13.5 water main
- Pipe layout designed to provide reliable service coverage, looped connections, and fire flow capability
- Transmission Main
- Construction of 1,600 LF of 12″ HDPE water main to serve as the transmission main
- Connection of the water storage tank to the distribution system via Southside Drive
- Supporting Infrastructure
- Valves, hydrants, service connections, and appurtenances
- Coordination with regulatory agencies for permitting and environmental compliance
- Preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
