This project involved critical repairs to the sanitary sewer trunk line crossing Cayadutta Creek in Gloversville, NY. Work included constructing a cast-in-place concrete abutment, stabilizing 33 feet of stream bank with medium stone fill, and implementing erosion control measures to protect the infrastructure and prevent future stream-related damage.
Cast-in-Place Concrete Abutment Construction
- Provides foundational support for the sanitary sewer line crossing
Stream Bank Stabilization
- Stabilized approximately 33 linear feet of stream bank
- Utilized medium stone fill (NYSDOT standard) to protect against erosion
Sanitary Sewer Trunk Line Protection
- Ensured continued structural integrity and function of the existing trunk line
- Reduced risk of failure from stream migration or scour
