Village of Mohawk - Water Systems Improvements Project

This project entailed the construction of 18,600 linear feet of water distribution main to replace the old piping. The project financing includes a 20 year NYS Environmental Facility Corporation Loan at 0% Interest Rate, for a total project cost of $3,814,000.

The major components of the project included the following:

  • New 10-inch and 8-inch Distribution Mains
  • New 500,000 gallon Prestressed Concrete Water Storage Tank
  • New Water Meters and Automatic Meter Reading System
  • New Well Site, Metering and Controls Improvements with UV Disinfection System

The Village of Mohawk serves approximately 970 properties and has an average daily consumption of 330,000 gpd.

Saratoga Water Services, Inc. - Pumping and Storage Improvements Project

This project included the construction of a new 750,000 gallon glass-lined steel water storage tank, a 1,500 gpm booster pumping system to maintain uniform distribution system pressure and an additional production well.

The major components of the project are the following:

  • 750,000 gallon Water Storage Tank
  • New Booster Pumping System
  • Control Building Expansion
  • New Control & Telemetry System
  • New
  • Production Well

The completed system will serve a population of 6,000 people in the Towns of Malta and Stillwater.

Town of Roxbury, Grand Gorge Water District Water - System Improvements Project

This $2.3M project included the design and construction of a new transmission main connecting the Grand Gorge water system to the Roxbury system and improvements to treatment facilities to address the corrosive nature of the source water.

The major components of the project are include the following:

    • 47,000 LF New 8″ HDPE Transmission Main from the Hamlet of Roxbury to the Hamlet of Grand Gorge
    • Upgrade Existing Spring Treatment Building
    • Upgrade Existing Well No 2 Treatment Building
    • Construct New Well Source and Control Building
    • Construct New Chlorine Booster Station and Pressure Reducing Valve Vault
    • Replace Distribution System Valves and Hydrants
Village of Voorheesville - Water Storage Improvements Project

This project entailed the addition of a new 0.5 MG AWWA D110 pre-cast, wire-wound concrete tank to provide distribution storage redundancy, the replacement of 8,900 linear feet of water distribution main, rehabilitation of existing well buildings process piping and refurbishing an existing 1.0 MG welded steel tank.

The major components of the project include the following:

  • New 0.5 MG Pre-cast, Wire-wound Concrete Tank With New Telemetry Vault
  • New 10-inch Transmission and Distribution Mains
  • New Pressure Reducing Valve and Pump Vault
  • Existing Services Reconnection
  • Telemetry and Controls Improvements
  • Modification of process piping in Grove Street Well Control Building
  • Complete upgrade of Pine Street Well Control Building
  • Refurbishing Existing Welded Steel Tank

The Village of Voorheesville Water System serves a population of 2,800 people and an average daily demand of 0.45 MG.

Warnerville Water District, Town of Richmondville - Water System Project

This project entailed the construction of approximately 23,000 feet of water main, a new 0.25 MG pre-cast wire-wound concrete storage tank, and a new control building housing booster pumps, chlorination equipment, and the control and telemetry system. The project funding include two New York State Legislature Member Item grants totaling $60,000, a $785,000/$75,000 grant/loan package from USDA Rural Utilities Service, and a $1,541,000 loan from New York Drinking Water State Revolving Fund for a total project budget of $2.461M.

The Warnerville Water District serves a population of 400 people and has a projected average daily water consumption of 70,000 gpd.
